The third annual United Kingdom Student Paramedic Conference (UKSPC) took place recently on 31 October, having upscaled and relocated to the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham. This sold out event saw its largest cohort of delegates yet, bringing in over 300 individuals from across national and international borders, each unified by a shared enthusiasm for continuous professional development and a desire to be forerunners in adopting the changes of this rapidly evolving profession. While the majority of attendees were indeed student paramedics of all levels, the organisers were also incredibly pleased to welcome a number of prospective students and postgraduate delegates of varying professions.

Registration began shortly before 08:30, where delegates were greeted by the organising committee and handed their personalised name badges with programme information, along with a gift bag containing stationary and other placement essentials. After a short opportunity to mingle as people arrived, attendees were invited to be seated in the main theatre for a brief welcome address and introduction to the first of the days speakers.
