A constructive observation from the outset is that the multi-professional dimension promoted by the publishers is perhaps not as clearly articulated as it could be. Taking the positives, however, and the very fact that paramedics are cited as one of the professions targeted is progress indeed. The purists among you may also argue the key difference between a multi-and inter-professional approach. One might also be compelled to highlight the absence of any discernible depth to the content, but this is positioned as an introductory text and I would suggest that is a fair summary.

For me, the real value here lies in the restraint shown by the contributors in avoiding the perennial temptation to merely regurgitate existing leadership models and paradigms. A contemporary context is suitably acknowledged, as is the link between practical leadership and patient care. Often over-looked in comparable texts.
